Rod Laycock

Principle Engineer,

Markerstudy Distribution

I currently lead a UK-based team of software engineers to create a highly reusable framework for obtaining and managing online insurance quotations for different domestic and commercial products.

Working with my own team and other teams based in the UK and offshore, we are building a highly configurable front-end utilising reusable components in Angular. These connect securely to a docker / kubernetes hosted microservices written in .NET Core, which are allow the front ends to be branded and configured independently and connect to various back end providers. All of this is configuration driven so we create it once, and reuse it time and time again.

I am presently learning Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking skills, along with the Go programming language.

As I know more computer languages than spoken languages I have decided to start learning German.
