I thoroughly believe in privacy of the individual, if you wish to share your data with the world, this should be your choice. As such I feel I need ensure you are provided with accurate information on privacy usage within my site.
Analytics
I do not use any form of data breaching analytics software in order to track you across pages of my site, or the internet. I thoroughly disagree with this practice and find it abhorrent that anyone should be allowed to stoop so low. If you want to get an insight into a customer, ask them.
Cookies
I do not store cookies of any description on your browser.
Local Storage
I do use a small section of Local Storage to store the colour theme (light or dark mode) you are presently using to view the site. This will persist with no expiration once the browser has been closed, as your preference on viewing my site in light or dark mode should not have an expiry, or only be for the duration you are on my site. You should not have to keep setting this everytime you visit my site.
Information I Collect
I only ever collect any information you send to me and only for the purpose of responding to you.
Analytics
I host my own analytics application Motomo, which is a privacy first alternative to Google Analytics. This allows me to see which of my blog articles, pages, etc are being accessed. This data is never exported and no one else has access to it.
Personal Information
I do not collect any personal information, which you do not consent to providing freely using the Contact Me section of this site.
Any data submitted in this manner will be submitted using the 3rd party Web3Forms and converted to an email and sent to myself. Please read and agree to the Web3Forms terms and conditions and Web3Forms privacy policy before submitting information, as these could change without notification to myself.
If you are not in agreement with those terms, please reach out to me via one of my social media platforms (but again, you would need to check and agree to their terms as well).
